Every wheel begins as an engineering project rather than simply a styling exercise. Our wheels are manufactured using true forged construction from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminium, a process that differs significantly from the casting or flow-forged methods commonly used across the aftermarket wheel industry. During forging, a solid aluminium billet of metal is subjected to immense pressure to create a wheel blank, this restructures the material’s internal grain alignment, significantly increasing strength and fatigue resistance while allowing the wheel to remain exceptionally lightweight.

Following the forging process, each wheel is CNC-machined with extremely high precision to create the final design and structural geometry. This stage allows us to control every aspect of the production process, load paths, and weight distribution throughout the wheel. Material is retained where strength is critical and removed where it is unnecessary, resulting in a wheel that achieves an optimal balance between structural integrity and reduced mass. Lower unsprung weight improves steering response, braking performance, and overall vehicle dynamics. Each of our designs are optimised to allow maximum brake clearance within the barrel of the wheel.

Every design developed by CPR Forged is engineered with real world performance in mind. Spoke profiles and barrel geometries are carefully considered to maximise brake clearance, ensuring compatibility with large high-performance braking systems and motorsport grade calipers. Attention is also given to hub interfaces, load ratings, and structural reinforcement so that each wheel maintains durability under demanding road and track conditions while remaining as lightweight as possible.

Many CPR Forged wheels are available in two-piece forged configurations (denoted by a .2 naming configuration, for example the PS03.2). This modular construction allows the forged centre and outer barrel to be manufactured separately and assembled using high-strength fasteners. The benefit of this design is both flexibility and serviceability. Widths, offsets, and lip profiles can be configured for specific vehicle platforms, while individual components can be replaced, refinished, or cleaned without the need to replace the entire wheel. It also allows us to offer different finishes on faces and barrels/lips.
